Argumentative Essay Topics on SocialismThere are many arguments that you could make against Socialism. One of the most commonly used arguments is that the government runs the country and therefore it has control over everything. The government, in this instance, controls people's lives and they can either go along with the program or not.
We all know that these socialist countries are ones that have many things going against them. For example, when they decided to build a dam in Chile, they ran into some major protests. One of the groups was called Agua Caliente, which means water without water.
It is an important argument that they had because the dam was supposed to be built for irrigation purposes. The water would have been used to keep the farmlands watered, but instead it was to be turned into river water. People then began protesting because they were afraid that this would reduce the flow of the river and affect its use. This would put them out of their water supply.
Arguing against Socialism always requires a good level of research. The reason why this is so important is that a good argument always has some truth to it. It also allows one to not just back away from it but to advance it as well. A good argument for a particular idea is one that puts forward the facts rather than the ideologies that have been used to sell it.
To begin with, the first question to ask is, why are we having the debate? Why don't we just take the whole idea on board and understand what socialism is? Socialism is about helping the common man rather than the politician.
In socialism, there is a need to help the masses to understand the individual needs that they have and to help those who cannot help themselves. There is a greater need to work for the common man rather than for some selfish individual. This is why arguing for Socialism is so important.
However, there are people who wish to try and destroy the socialistic world. They would like to continue the old form of capitalism that is run by the government. Thus, Socialism and Capitalism have an unbreakable link and thus we cannot find peace by ignoring this.
Another good question to ask is why should you bother arguing in this day and age when everything is 'politically correct?' We have gone too far down the path of political correctness and it is not good for the country. We must stand up and have our say so that we do not lose what is left of our freedom.
